Project Scope
The Pembrey Mountain Trust would oversee the restoration of the Gunnery Dome.
The key deliverables for the project will be:
• A restored Dome to a functioning facility , restoring it for the nation and beyond
• The surrounding buildings restored to enable onsite facilities e.g. museum, restaurant, offices
• Interpretation of the maritime and defence history of Pembrey Peninsula
• Interpretation of the Airforce base and its place in WW ll
The area is rich in maritime and defence history over many hundreds of years and it would be our intention to include the history of the Pembrey Peninsular within the scope of this project.
